Madurai Airport – Rameshwaram (180kms/04hrs)
Arrive at Madurai airport. Transfer to Rameshwaram. Pass through 2.07 kilometres New Pamban Bridge (Old Pamban Bridge is India’s first–ever Sea Bridge and a legendary engineering marvel, opened in 1914. Closed in 2022). On arrival, visit Dhanushkodi – an abandoned coastal town at the south eastern tip of Pamban Island, famous for its profound mythological ties to the Ramayana, its tragic history as a ghost town and the unique geographical meeting point of two seas. Night stay in RAMESHWARAM.

DAY 2: RAMESWARAM
After breakfast, visit Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlinga shrines. Rameshwaram – Madurai (180kms/04hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Madurai. En–route, visit Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace – 17th century royal residence, is a blend of Dravidian and Indo–Saracenic (Islamic/Rajput) architecture. Later, visit Meenakshi Amman Temple. It is a massive architectural masterpiece where the Goddess Meenakshi is the primary ruler and main deity, receiving the first daily prayers instead of Lord Shiva. Night stay in MADURAI. .
