MUMBAI – BANGKOK – CHIANG RAI (BY AIR)

Departure to Chiang Rai via Bangkok. On arrival complete Immigration procedure and transfer to hotel. After fresh up visit Lalitta Café, this picture-perfect café is super gorgeous, with its vast greenery and cascading waterfalls. Evening free to roam around Chiang Rai night bazar. Night stay at CHIANG RAI.

CHIANG RAI SIGHTSEEING

After early breakfast departure to The Golden Triangle (85 kms), It covers the areas of Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos, which meet at the confluence of the Mekong River and Ruak River. After lunch in Chiang Rai city, visit Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, a highly visited Buddhist Temple. Then we will visit Wat Rong Suea Ten, known as the Blue Temple and Temple of the Dancing Tiger; the Wat Huay Pla Kang a big complex made in Chinese style. In the evening, we will visit Singha Park, an Agro Tourism attraction with agricultural areas, tea plantations and beautiful nature all around. We will experience some leisure time in the lap of nature and return to the hotel. Night stay at CHIANG RAI.

CHIANG RAI SIGHTSEEING - CHIANG MAI (280 KMS)

After breakfast departure to Chiang Mai, our first stop will be the unique Sticky Waterfalls, a remarkable natural wonder nestled in the Namtok Bua Tong National Park. Later proceed to Mae Khanchan Hot Springs (112 kms), this is the perfect place to refresh yourself surrounded by serene mountains. Proceed to hotel for check in. After fresh up departure to visit the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek, a world-class horticulture expo to celebrate the auspicious occasions of HM King Bhumibol’s 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne and his 80th birthday. Evening at leisure. Night stay at CHIANG MAI.

CHIANG MAI – DOI INNTHANON NATIONAL PARK – KAREN LONG NECK VILLAGE

After breakfast departure to Visit Wachiratharn Waterfall, a majestic natural attraction known for its breathtaking beauty and tranquil surroundings. Proceed to Doi Inthanon National Park famous for its waterfalls, different flora & fauna, nature trails, remote villages, bird watching and beautiful cold weather all year-round. Due to its higher elevations of 8400 ft, it is also known as “The Roof Top of Thailand”.  Visit the twin Pagodas, built in 1980 to commemorate the 60th birthday of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Later, in Chang Mai city visit Wat Sri Supan, known as the “Silver Temple” because its ordination hall was constructed using silver, aluminium, and nickel; the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple, a Theravada Buddhist temple. We can see many Hindu Idols in this Temple. Situated at an elevation of 3500 feet we can also see impressive views of downtown Chiang Mai from the temple. Later in the evening we will visit the most popular tribal group – the Longneck Karen Tribe. The women in this tribe wear brass rings stacked around their necks, as it is considered a symbol of beauty in their culture. Return to hotel. Night stay at CHIANG MAI.

CHIANG MAI - LUANG PRABANG (LAOS - BY AIR)

After breakfast departure to Chiang Mai Airport to take a flight to Luang Prabang (LAOS). On arrival complete immigration procedure and transfer to the hotel, after fresh up visit to Luang Prabang culture town to see its background and the most famous Wat Xiengthong. Later visit Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre, located at a beautiful site along the Mekong River. Here we enjoy a tour learning about Laos’ textiles from the silkworm to the finished product. Wander through the weaving studio and watch the experts at work creating masterpieces. Later in the evening we will enjoy one hour cruise on the Mekong River and enjoy sunset leisurely. After the cruise visit local tribe market. Night stay at LUANG PRABANG.

PAK OU CAVES – WHISKY VILLAGE – PAPER VILLAGE

After breakfast departure to visit Pak Ou caves (30 kms, 1 hour), This cave is famous for the thousands of Buddhist statues collected here through hundreds of years of visit of local pilgrims. Hundreds of very small and mostly damaged wooden Buddhist figures are laid out over the wall shelves. They take many different positions, including meditation, teaching, walking, naga, peace, rain, and reclining. On the way back we will visit Ban Xang Hai Village, known as Whisky Village. It is famous for Lao-Lao (homemade alcohol), which is an integral part of Lao culture. Along with Whisky they make Wine too and both the drinks can be tasted and bought in the small local shops here. Later proceed to the Ban Xang Khong known as the Paper Village where you can watch villagers making posa paper (from mulberry bark). In the evening enjoy Royal Ballet Theatre show and spend some free to roam around the local night market. Night stay at LUANG PRABANG.

KUANGSI WATERFALLS – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast departure to the most beautiful site in Luang Prabang, the Kuangsi waterfalls. It is an enchanting, captivating, and breath-taking three-tier waterfall that dramatically cascades into natural pools of water of the truest, clearest turquoise. After visiting this wonderful site visit the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre. This sanctuary was opened in 2003 by an Australian NGO to take care of Moon Bears rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Later we will drive back to Luang Prabang. En route we will visit viewpoint of Mount Phou Si, a small hill in the centre of the old town of Luang Prabang from where we get a bird’s eye view of Luang Prabang town as well as Mekong River and Nam Khan River. Night stay at LUANG PRABANG.

LUANG PRABANG – MUMBAI

Early today morning we will experience Tak Bath. It is a ritual of offering food to a monk in the street early in the morning.  We will witness the Alms Giving Ceremony wherein people bring with them home cooked sticky rice in special bamboo baskets and small portions of this rice is given to monks who pass along outside a Temple. After breakfast we will take a small drive to the Royal palace museum, built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family. The site for the palace was chosen so that official visitors to Luang Prabang could disembark from their river voyages directly below the palace and be received there. Later proceed to the Lunag Prabang International Airport to catch your flight to your hometown.
